BELIEFS
We believe that...

Each student is a valued individual with unique intellectual, physical and emotional
needs with intrinsic values and should be treated fairly in an environment where cultural
diversity is respected and valued.
Student experiences greatly affect abilities and the potential to learn.
Student behavior and attitude related directly to learning.
Students learn in different ways, therefore, clear goals and high expectations for
student achievement should guide the design of instructional strategies and learning activities.
Assessments of student learning should provide students with a variety of opportunities
to demonstrate their achievements and authentic contents in which to apply their learning.
Communications and involvement among school/community/parent/ guardian/student are
vital to student success.
Teachers, staff, administrators, parents, students, and community members share in the
responsibility of providing a supportive, safe learning environment within our school.
The commitment to continuous improvement is imperative if our school is going to enable
students to become confident, self-directed, lifelong learners.
